Marbella, located along Spain’s southern coast, is known for its exclusive hillside villas and sophisticated architecture. In one such villa, the owners were seeking to enhance their outdoor space—not with grandeur, but with refined light and movement. The request was simple: bring subtle elegance to their garden fountain through lighting that could blend with nature yet feel modern.

Tailored Lighting for a Natural Waterfall Aesthetic

Cyangourd Lighting was brought into the project during the villa’s landscape redesign. After reviewing architectural drawings and understanding the layout of a 10-meter-long wall fountain, the team proposed a tailored solution: three synchronized RGB waterfall lights, each measuring 1200mm in length. The lights would gently cascade behind a sheet of water, using a clear acrylic spillway that preserved the natural appearance of flowing water during the day and transformed it into a dynamic lighting canvas at night.

Design, Integration, and Material Details

Each lighting unit featured IP68 waterproofing and was built with a robust ABS frame paired with high-transparency acrylic. This ensured durability in an open-air environment with constant water exposure. The RGB modules were preprogrammed to simulate sunrise and sunset color effects, offering soft transitions from golden hues to deep blues—ideal for evening relaxation. The system was mounted flush into the structure, creating a seamless look with no visible hardware or wires.

Installation Experience and Result

Installation was coordinated with the villa’s construction team and completed in less than two days.
